The first two to three days require the most postoperative care. After about a week, your cast will be removed. Overall, it’s common to expect at least two weeks for substantial recovery.
If time permits, Dr. Halaas recommends that her out-of-town patients plan to stay in the city for up to two weeks. However, at the minimum, you should plan to stay seven to ten days after your surgery.
It will take about two weeks for the majority of the swelling and bruising to wear off. You will also need to wear compression wraps for a week. After a week, makeup can also be used to cover any remaining scars.
The recommended stay after a facelift is usually up to two weeks. After one week, your compression wraps will be removed. If you had a less invasive procedure, then a week to ten days may be sufficient.
Though recovery time will differ based on the exact procedure, Dr. Halaas suggests that patients allow about one week for recovery.
Many procedures require several sessions for appropriate results to show. Because of that, it’s advisable to plan ahead to stay in the city for one to two weeks.
Injectables are non-surgical methods of enhancement. Thus, they only require a few days at most for any minor swelling or bruises to disappear.
Unlike surgery, with injectables, you can simply fly in, undergo your procedure, and fly back home on the very same day.
