What is THERMItight?

THERMItight is a treatment for tightening moderately loose skin of the neck, face, breasts, arms, abdomen, thighs, and knees. It works by emitting controlled radiofrequency waves (used safely and successfully in medicine for more than 75 years) to directly heat the subdermal skin, thereby tightening the tissue.

Benefits of THERMItight

  • Instant results
  • Achieves an instantly noticeable difference
  • Improvements continue to progress for 6-12 weeks
  • Targets stubborn pockets of fat
  • Stimulates natural collagen production

The science of THERMItight

The ThermiTIGHT is a very accurate, precise procedure in which the technology works by delivering an intense yet controlled burst of radiofrequency heat directly into unwanted fat pockets, which causes them to shrink. THERMItight also triggers the production of brand-new collagen and elastin in the treated areas, which helps the skin and tissues to look more firm, toned, and youthful.

Excellent work. True professionals. Deeply caring.

Combining ThermiTIGHT with FaceTite

Dr. Halaas often combines ThermiTIGHT with FaceTite™, another advanced skin tightening treatment that is radiofrequency-based. Unlike ThermiTIGHT — which is monopolar — FaceTite is bipolar. This means that FaceTite allows for more concentrated heating in certain areas. Together, these two procedures create a powerhouse skin tightening team that achieves skin that is firmer, more rejuvenated, and more youthful.

ThermiTIGHT procedure details

THERMItight is also known as the “injectable radiofrequency treatment” because the procedure involves the use of a small probe which is inserted with a needle directly into the inner layer of your skin.

The first step is the injection of a local anesthetic. Once this is complete, Dr. Halaas will then insert the tiny SmartTip™ thermistor probe into the treatment areas. As she gently and precisely moves the probe underneath the skin’s surface, the device delivers radiofrequency heat and energy to disrupt fat pockets and melt them. The SmartTip is synced with Thermal Image Guidance, an innovative technology that allows Dr. Halaas to monitor your epidermal skin temperature.

The procedure takes an average of about an hour, depending on the sites to be treated. Afterwards, Dr. Halaas will apply a gentle wrap to the treatment area so that the tiny wound may heal. Normal activity may be resumed the next day, and patients are advised to stay away from direct sunlight for the first few days.

Recovery and results

ThermiTIGHT requires virtually no recovery time, and most patients resume their normal activities immediately following treatment. Some patients have some mild swelling, redness, and/or bruising for a day or two. Results are often noticed immediately, with maximum effects seen after 6-12 weeks. Collagen production is increased and skin elasticity is improved. THERMItight results can last for several years.
