A cosmetic injectable volumizer

Made from synthetic poly-L-lactic acid, Sculptra replaces the loss of facial collagen by filling in shallow-to-deep hollows, including nasolabial folds. Over several months, Sculptra gradually achieves a refreshed, more youthful appearance by stimulating an increase in the skin’s collagen. The material in Sculptra consists of Poly-L-lactic acid, which is absorbed naturally by your body. This material has been used for many years for dissolvable stitches. Results can last up to two years, and can be safely repeated when needed.

Sculptra treatment details

Sculptra injections are administered directly under the skin in areas where volume or collagen is desired. The exact number of injections you’ll receive will be determined by how much correction is needed. Treatments usually take about 30 minutes, and you will be numbed first with a topical anesthetic.

Recovery and results

Side effects from Sculptra are minimal, and most patients return to their regular day after treatment. The most common side effects are swelling, redness, mild discomfort, and/or bruising for 1-3 days. Unlike most dermal fillers, results from Sculptra are not instant. The results are excellent, but they work gradually over 4-6 months. Once you’re happy with your outcome, we recommend yearly or bi-yearly maintenance sessions.
