Answer:
After blepharoplasty surgery you may experience swelling, bruising, and tight, sore eyes that feel dry. You may also experience some eye leakage as your eyes heal. To reduce swelling you should keep your head elevated with soft, malleable cold compresses over your eyes. Frozen peas work really well. Herbal supplements such as Arnica may be used to decrease bruising. Eye drops or ointments can help keep eyes lubricated to reduce drying and to promote proper healing. Right after surgery it is normal for your vision to be slightly blurry and to have heightened light sensitivity. Swelling and bruising may take up to a month to fully subside but you should see dramatic results only after a few weeks.
