How much hair do I need?

The donor hair should come from the back of the head where the hair tends to remain thicker. How much hair that is needed depends on the individual patient. Sometimes only a few hundred individual hair grafts can be used to make a thinning area appear denser. For patients who want to fill in a larger area, more than a thousand individual hair grafts can be used to create a very natural coverage.
