I’m in my late 40s and I’d like to get rhinoplasty to take care of the bump on my nose. It looks great from the front though, it’s thin and it has a good length. Is it possible at this age to only remove the bump and to keep the rest of my nose?

Rhinoplasty is great for any age as long as the patient is medically healthy.  Removing this bump will improve facial contour and direct more attention to your cheeks and eyes. When rhinoplasty is performed patients often looks younger and the often-used term “mature rhinoplasty” acknowledges this appearance change. In my practice, most women over 40 as very pleased with the results. It’s great that you are happy with the nose tip because most patients lack tip support, which weakens as they age. At your rhinoplasty consultation your doctor will test your tip support and if necessary he can utilize tip support techniques in surgery. It is very important to find a doctor with whom you feel comfortable.
