I have short eyelashes and would really like to have eyelash extensions done. Would the fumes from the glue when it gets wet harm my eyes? I am a 44-year-old woman residing in the area of New York City.

As a rule eyelash extensions are safe although irritation from the glue is always a possibility.  It is important to note, however, eyelash extensions need continual maintenance and can interfere with your own lash density.  Use of FDA approved Latisse is a safe treatment that naturally enhances your eyelashes and avoids the risk of any harm to your eyes.  You simply apply a drop of Latisse with a small applicator and brush to your top eyelid once daily and it will promote your own eyelashes to grow.
