I have a noticeable nasal hump that I don’t like and want removed. I’m 20 years old and I don’t want a sloping nose, but I’d like to have the hump reduced. I would like my nose to look natural and to match the other features on my face. How difficult would this surgery be? Will my nose be broken? Will the healing time be faster and will I have less bruising because I only want the hump removed?

Answer:

The point that you make about not wanting a sloping nose is important and it is one you must discuss with your surgeon. Also check out your surgeon’s before and after photos and make sure the noses are unique and fitting to each person. The surgeon you choose should be able to tailor your results and give you a natural looking nose that is not “sloping.”
