It is becoming a trend for younger and younger patients to request facial fillers like Botox, Restylane, etc. This may seems absurd but there is a method to this madness. If wrinkles are prevented before they start then it inhibits or prevents the forming of more serious wrinkles in the future. However, 16-year-olds are still too young to get Botox treatments. I would only recommend Botox for someone of such a young age if there were underlying conditions affecting the patient like blepharospasms (eye spasms) or excessive perspiration. As always with young patients, parental consent is needed to undergo such treatments.
